Gramicidin is antimicrobialcyclic palypetide. Gramicidin is used as local application to skin, wounds, burns and nose and mouth infections. & frequently used with a corticosteroid.
Indications
Gramicidin is primarily indicated in conditions like Otitis externa, Superficial infections.
Contraindication
Gramicidin is contraindicated in conditions like Damage skin.
Side Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Gramicidin are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Irritation.
Warnings
Gramicidin should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while nursing. It should be used with caution in patients with any eye problems or allergies, especially to any antibiotics or sulfites.
