Aluminium acetate is astringent. It reduces oedema and inflammation of the ear by producing an acidic environment hostile to pathogenic bacteria; It is alslo hygroscopic. It has also been used in dermatology as astringent lotions for irritating skin conditions.
Indications
Aluminium Acetate is primarily indicated in conditions like Otitis externa.
